Welcome to the Delygate newsletter! This newsletter keeps you up to date with everything linked to coaching and your favorite career podcast Reaching your Goals. It is all about supporting you to get one step closer to living a fulfilled professional life.
I was off last week and took the time to do what I usually ask my coaching clients to do: JOURNALING. Most days, I sat down with my notebook and either journaled about my day, worked on my 5-year vision, or made plans. Today I want to double-click on creating a 5-year vision!
Putting your 5-year vision in writing is very powerful as it brings tremendous clarity. Know where you want to be to know where to go.
I was in this relaxed mindset, and it felt easy to let it flow and capture what came to mind. And no, you don’t need to be on vacation to work on your vision. Grab your notebook and pen, turn your phone on airplane mode, make yourself comfortable, and give yourself 30 to 60 minutes.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. What picture is coming to mind when you ask yourself any of the following questions:
What do I want to be doing in 5 years?
Who do I want to be?
With whom do I want to spend my time?
Where do I want to be?
To get started scribble down what’s coming up for you. By capturing your thoughts, you are slowly painting the picture of your future!
Now that you get a sense of where you want to be in 2028, let’s make it even more concrete:
What do you want a typical day to look like?
What are the activities you’d like to engage in?
How do those activities make you feel?
Do you get a sense of completion and fulfillment? If so, you are definitely onto something! By the way, the more detailed you describe your vision, the more clarity you will get in the process.
Once you are done, put down your pen and notebook and take a deep breath. Congratulations, you just completed your 5-years vision!
What is different for you now? I bet having this clarity will trigger more thoughts on how to get to that version of your future. Know where you want to be to know where to go.

NEW PODCAST EPISODE 🎧: Khyati Bhatt on non-verbal communication and body language
Whether you’re aware of it or not, whenever you interact with others, you’re continuously giving and receiving wordless signals. All of your nonverbal behaviors including gestures, posture, tone of voice, or eye contact send strong messages. They can work in your advantage or not. Even when you’re silent, you’re still communicating nonverbally.
So yes, this topic is very important!! My guest is the wonderful Khyati Bhatt.
Khyati is the Founder of Simply Body Talk a company that has built a niche internationally in nonverbal communication. She has trained for Mastery in Nonverbal Communications and is a certified expert in reading micro and mini expressions by Paul Ekman.
